So I've decided to opt out of joining the masses playing Bioware's new mmo...for now. Someone told me that space combat was in the game and imagine to my surprise, I coincidentally see a post about it on Kotaku.
I immediately agree with some of the comments that this simple rail shooter just immediately conjures memories of the Rebel Assault series' gameplay. Rebel Assault II was the second PC game I ever purchased, or rather begged on my knees for, but nonetheless I spent hours upon hours playing this game and letting my eyes slurp up all the visual goodness.
Rebel Assault 2 was a hallmark of earlier Star Wars games because it was the first to incorporate live action footage apart from the actual movies. Let's face it, the gameplay wasn't very innovative, but if you were true fan you couldn't care less. I can't believe I actually watched the whole cutscene collection in one sitting...ah nostalgia.
